I had a similar experience at Target last week- both Halloween and Christmas things at the same time, I was like um whoa, and I immediately turned around to go back to the school supplies because I'm still back on September in my mind!Kelly (She Wears a Red Sox Cap)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04415604174106394910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6096971906693742277.post-66066405522649693662010-10-14T08:19:06.226-07:002010-10-14T08:19:06.226-07:00I like the new blog look!

I get what you mean about the holiday overload in department stores. There’s a store in the mall just down the street from my work that does the exact same thing. Pumpkins just down the aisle from Christmas trees. Before we know it, Valentine’s Day decorations will be out as well.

I have to say, I don’t know what it is, but I actually really do love Halloween. I think it just takes me back to some good times in my childhood. It’s not the same as it used to be, but there’s always a certain feeling around that time of year that I really enjoy.Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03384270738210385286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6096971906693742277.post-41408355746646202912010-10-14T08:00:44.082-07:002010-10-14T08:00:44.082-07:00I read someplace that Halloween decoration sales a...I read someplace that Halloween decoration sales are close to Christmas decorations in places. We don't do Halloween at our house, due to the lack of trick or treaters. But even if we did, I just don't get the attraction to those inflatable deals for the lawn.

But Christmas decorations? It is still the first half of October!!! I guess I'd better get out my fall wreath for the front door. It's been so warm I haven't thought of it.

I think yard decorating becomes competitive in some neighborhoods.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08459160522929691213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6096971906693742277.post-51620209765201771322010-10-14T07:55:08.270-07:002010-10-14T07:55:08.270-07:00Too funny!

I only decorate the outside of our house for Halloween as I want to make it inviting for the little trick or treaters. I also have some luminaries I set out along our driveway and do the spider netting around the door and trees. though that stuff is messy and more of a pain so who knows if I will do that this year.

I agree though let Halloween at least pass before we start seeing Christmas decor.Cherry Blossomshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11369408515701153796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6096971906693742277.post-4051768892734721972010-10-14T07:31:14.652-07:002010-10-14T07:31:14.652-07:00Too funny! I like seeing our nephew's costumes, but that is where I draw the line. I shoudl take a pic of the house on my street - this lady going ooc w/ the decorating for halloween. It's insane.

I witnessed a temper tantrum at Target last week. I could only smile. The child was screaming and running in circles about the cart and the mom looked so distraught, I looked at her and smiles and we sort of exchanged a non-verbal 'I feel for you' look.Lisa from Lisa's Yarnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05335500882510597919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6096971906693742277.post-85425841243184320902010-10-14T06:58:11.081-07:002010-10-14T06:58:11.081-07:00Oh, no! Too, too sad!
It just seems to get worse each year!
I was in a store early this summer and the person checking out before me was all excited because she had just finished her Christmas shopping!
