So I begin with today - introducing myself and 15 "interesting" facts.

Hi, I'm Abby.

Okay, you've now been introduced. Here comes the facts. (there will be redundant and repetitive, as I don't think I can come up with 15 interesting things about me that y'all don't know already...)

1. I play the trombone. I was going to major in Music Education in college. But my 2nd day of college I switched to Nursing.

2. My favorite sport to watch is the Kentucky Derby. Why? The dresses, the hats, the drinks, and the fact that it is the only sporting event that doesn't take HOURS.

3. I pretend to be interested in NFL football to be a nice wife. But, really, it makes me yawn.

4. I'm running my 2nd full-marathon on December 12.

5. If I don't like a food - I will put mustard on it, and I will most like it enjoy it.

6. My little side-dream is to be a personal trainer, or a kickboxing instructor.

7. I talk, laugh, and talk some more in my sleep. I also kick the covers, throw the covers, and am probably the most annoying person to sleep with EVER.

8. One of my favorite hobbies to baking bread. Anything in that realm -- baking bread, home-made-pizza crusts, variations of pasta...

9. I was supposed to get an A in my Sophomore year Statistics class, but instead got a C b/c I only showed up to class on test days. I didn't know the teacher took "attendance points". Ouch.

10. I worked as a hotel-cleaning lady for 2 weeks during college at the Americ-Inn.

11. While my husband was out of town a few weeks ago, I was backing his car out of our garage and scraped the side of it on our wall. He discovered this a week later. Good times.

12. I am the worlds worst driver. I am confident in this statement.

13. I really want to be a Nurse Practitioner.

14. I enjoy cleaning in the shower and scrubbing floors. There is something that gives me butterflies about seeing it sparkle white with cleanliness.

15. My husband is most definitely my best friend in the world. Whenever we get to really spend time together - my face hurts from laughter/smiles. I always tell him "My face is going to be very wrinkly some day..." -- but that's okay with me :-)

And here's a recent picture......it was taken about 2 weeks ago when we went to the pumpkin patch with Ryan's family!

Fun! I might try to do this in January...

You are the wildest sleeper ever. I can def verify that! And you are the heaviest sleeper, too!!

Those were some fun facts! What is it about mustard?? It can totally make anything taste good.

That's a really nice picture of you and your husband. I like that necklace you have on!
Yay :) So glad you decided to do this too. I'm not really promising 30 days in a row either!

I am also crazy when I sleep- I mumble and kick covers all around. Good thing we have a king sized bed!

Also I don't even try to be a good wife when it comes to football. It's simply terrible. Eric knows I have that opinion, oh well!

Yup, that's you! You are quite honest! And you must have inherited your sleep tactics from your Dad! When he's gone, I crawl into bed on my side and the covers on his side are still in perfect shape so I only have to make half the bed! You inherited your driving techniques from me, sadly! :(

What is your color?

Green My favorite color ever! I have to control myself to not purchase too many green things. If I had no control, my house would be green. My kitchen would be lime-themed. With greenery everywhere. My bathrooms would be green. My bedroom would be green. You would all feel nauseated-green after entering my home. (So I don't have a green-themed home) Many things I love are green, such as: Spinach (I eat it a minimum twice a day usually) My weding color was green. (clover green) Limes (I have at least one time a day) Grass. I love the feel of grass, especially since I see it so rarely in AZ (except in my neighborhood that has amazing landscapers with grass-galore) Palm trees. Any tree. Christmas trees. I love Christmas Green Beer. I think the green beer on St. Patty's Day tastes better. My favorite color of eyes. When I was in 9th grade, I so badly wanted to get green contacts. But they made me keep my brown eyes. Diet Mountain Dew (my guilty pleasure) Granny Smith...

A weekend of the great outdoors

As I am preparing for my return to the real world tomorrow, I feel a strong sense of dread. As I won't have a weekend or free week for a long while! Instead of focusing on that.......I'm sharing a few snapshots from our awesome weekend! This weekend we were in Big Lake, AZ -- which is about 20 miles from the New Mexico border (just 5 1/2 hours from our house). (last weekend we were in Parker Canyon...which I will blog about another day) We camped from Friday-Monday, which was the perfect length of time. The temperatures were a great escape from hot Tucson. In fact...it was VERY cold at night. It was in the low 30's at night, 60's during the day. The trout fishing was incredible. Here's a few snapshots: Home Sweet Home for the weekend! Look at the giant tree I cut down!!! Wow!! (Okay, this was posed...) But...Ryan did teach me how to use a wood-saw! There were tons of dead/fallen trees lying around. So we cut all our firewood for the weekend! I felt very ...

One Confused Lady

Yesterday morning was packed with a session of cross training.....rushed home to shower and get professional-looking....headed across town for an interview.....kicked butt at my interview...."bopped" over to our house to see the progress of the build......headed to the "design center" to sign more paperwork.... (Side note: I cannot get over just how much paperwork is involved in building a house. Holy Hannah. And we haven't even closed !!! Iy-yi-yi....Those lovely people in history who got law-suit-happy.....God bless 'em.) Yesterday was a good day! So here's a little humor for your Thursday. A little thought. A little depth.....( A little cynical rant ) Afterwards, I decided to head to one of my favorite places to peruse.... Target. But my experience at Target was far from fun, relaxing, or pleasant. Just confusing. Loud. Crazy. Despite many screaming children-temper tantrums.... Which is common and un-escapable. Although screaming chi...
