Ten on Tuesday!

1st I need to relish in the joy that it was 80 DEGREES on our thermometer this morning at 6:30. Burrrr! My run was amazing. (Usually it's well into the 90's)

So Happy Tuesday.

1. When you are on a plane and the kid behind you is kicking your seat, what do you do?

I have to admit, that I'm not very considerate or sympathetic when this occurs. It's not my kid. So why should I care if I'm rude?

I typically will clear my throat in a very "matter-of-fact" manner. "Mm MMMMM". Then I'll turn around and just look. Not a dirty look. Just look. It's my way of saying "Yes. I see that someone is kicking my chair, and now I've made eye contact with you. You should feel uncomfortably & embarassed now"

2. What food that you KNOW is bad for you and you shouldn’t have, but you love/eat it anyway?
I'm really not too bad about foods...but I know beer is bad for me. And I shouldn't drink it. But it's good, and I drink it regardless.
3. What is your favorite book of all time?

So far, "The American Wife"
4. If I came to visit you in your town, where would we eat?

I don't know the answer to this question yet. I suppose since it's the Southwest, I'd have to say some Mexican restaraunt. But to be honest, I have yet to find a good mexican restaraunt in Tucson. Maybe I don't like them because I don't trust Mexican cooking with all their lard.....

My favorite restaraunt EVER is Ra Sushi. It's great sushi, and the views are amazing!
5. You have 500 dollars and 40 minutes to spend it at any store you want. Where do you go?
Macy's. I like their clothes and it also has a good home section.

Or REI for camping/sprorting gear

6. What blog do you read every day/the most often?

My sister Lisa's blog. It's excellent. :)
7. What’s the longest you’ve ever been stuck at an airport?
Denver for 14 hours. On New Years Day. I loathe the Denver airport now.
8. What’s your daily makeup/face/cleansing routine?
I wash my face with Clean & Clear "Morning splash" in the shower. I put some blush and eye shadow on...maybe mascara. And thats about it.

9. Where is your farthest away friend?
North Dakota
10. Where is your favorite place to go hiking (or to enjoy nature)?
Hiking - White Mountains OR Mount Lemmon here in Tucson. Amazing trails!

General place to enjoy nature? -- Battle Lake, MN. Nothing beats a calm lake and loons singing :)

I am friends with the girl who wrote these questions so I might have to play along and do this post tomorrow! Thanks for the compliment on my blog. :)

It's so funny that 80 is 'cool'. ;)

You made me laugh today! And when you said how your respond to a kicking child behind you, I couldn't help but think of my Mom! Somehow, I could just see her doing the same exact thing! But she may have added a comment or two besides the "glare"! Too funny! Enjoy the cool 80's! That is hot to us! :)!

What is your color?

Green My favorite color ever! I have to control myself to not purchase too many green things. If I had no control, my house would be green. My kitchen would be lime-themed. With greenery everywhere. My bathrooms would be green. My bedroom would be green. You would all feel nauseated-green after entering my home. (So I don't have a green-themed home) Many things I love are green, such as: Spinach (I eat it a minimum twice a day usually) My weding color was green. (clover green) Limes (I have at least one time a day) Grass. I love the feel of grass, especially since I see it so rarely in AZ (except in my neighborhood that has amazing landscapers with grass-galore) Palm trees. Any tree. Christmas trees. I love Christmas Green Beer. I think the green beer on St. Patty's Day tastes better. My favorite color of eyes. When I was in 9th grade, I so badly wanted to get green contacts. But they made me keep my brown eyes. Diet Mountain Dew (my guilty pleasure) Granny Smith...

A weekend of the great outdoors

As I am preparing for my return to the real world tomorrow, I feel a strong sense of dread. As I won't have a weekend or free week for a long while! Instead of focusing on that.......I'm sharing a few snapshots from our awesome weekend! This weekend we were in Big Lake, AZ -- which is about 20 miles from the New Mexico border (just 5 1/2 hours from our house). (last weekend we were in Parker Canyon...which I will blog about another day) We camped from Friday-Monday, which was the perfect length of time. The temperatures were a great escape from hot Tucson. In fact...it was VERY cold at night. It was in the low 30's at night, 60's during the day. The trout fishing was incredible. Here's a few snapshots: Home Sweet Home for the weekend! Look at the giant tree I cut down!!! Wow!! (Okay, this was posed...) But...Ryan did teach me how to use a wood-saw! There were tons of dead/fallen trees lying around. So we cut all our firewood for the weekend! I felt very ...

One Confused Lady

Yesterday morning was packed with a session of cross training.....rushed home to shower and get professional-looking....headed across town for an interview.....kicked butt at my interview...."bopped" over to our house to see the progress of the build......headed to the "design center" to sign more paperwork.... (Side note: I cannot get over just how much paperwork is involved in building a house. Holy Hannah. And we haven't even closed !!! Iy-yi-yi....Those lovely people in history who got law-suit-happy.....God bless 'em.) Yesterday was a good day! So here's a little humor for your Thursday. A little thought. A little depth.....( A little cynical rant ) Afterwards, I decided to head to one of my favorite places to peruse.... Target. But my experience at Target was far from fun, relaxing, or pleasant. Just confusing. Loud. Crazy. Despite many screaming children-temper tantrums.... Which is common and un-escapable. Although screaming chi...
