FINALLY!!!!

Today if you were in my nice, friendly, family-oriented cute neighborhood; and you decided to walk down my street...you may have heard noises that would make you think something VERY, VERY BAD has happened. The sounds were probably resembling some sort of dying animal. That dying animal?--was Me: watching our wedding video--crying, sobbing, laughing--uncontrollably. Do you ever watch soap operas? (I don't...but I assume when people cry on them, it's very loud and dramatic) -- That was me today. In fact -- my husband, Ryan just so happened to called during this time. I couldn't get words out, because I couldn't catch my breath. He immediately signaled in with concern "Abby? Abby? Is everything okay? Do I need to come home? What happened? Are you hurt? Did someone break in?" FINALLY, I was able to catch my breath and say; "Our wedding was so beautiful!!!!!! I can't believe it all really happened." His reply was just pure laughter, and finally he re...

St. Anthony, Where are you??!!??

So. Let's talk about my day so far. And why I suck at being organized. Do any of you know these people who always have it together? They never lose ANYTHING. They have a spare set of every important document, item possible. Every document has a file, every item has a place, every place has a label. They are always collected, have every duck is in the row. They live in perfection. This description is my husband: Ryan. My second question: Do you know anyone who's life is an absolute train wreck? They are always running in circles. They cannot be responsible for an important item if their life depended on it, because the strangest things happen to them. They never seem to be at the right place, or never seem to be on time. They cell phone often ends up in the refrigerator. There is always a giant debacle occurring. This description is me: Abby. Well this morning two people of this nature got to mingle a little. Well, they happen to be husband and wife--so they have to mingle withi...

My goal for the week

Okay, so I was ever-so-consistently updating this blog and giving the play-by-play on our wedding weekend. That can be attributed to the fact that I had a week off from nursing school. My next rotation began: Labor/Deliver and Nursing Research. ....and goodbye blogging! I really have things to write about, but feel as though I can't talk about anything until I give the grand finale of "The Wedding Day". THEREFORE..... By the end of this week, my goal is to recap the wedding day before it is all forgotten and I have become an old maid. Once this is completed, I will probably rant and write often. So be prepared. Just have to get over "the hump". I just have to: 1) conduct a research article on the cause of preterm babies (i'm going to come up with the answer--I am determined....) -I wish!!- 2)Compiling a 25 page full assessment on a pregnant woman I have been stalking for a project 3) Study for/complete my second exam of the semester. 4) Continue being a swee...

Getting Close to the Big Day...

We are finally starting to make some progress towards the big event! So I left off with the rehearsal. Now let's talk Groom's Dinner... It was perfect. (Weather could've been nicer, but we can't control that). The cabin was picturesque. The food was amazing. Let me tell you about 2 idols that I have, and have had my whole life. They are called "My brothers" (Chad & Kevin). Growing up--I looked up to them like none-other. Sometimes they probably weren't the world's greatest influence's on me....but in the long run, they were . I say this because I can recall evenings where my brother was in high school throwing a party when he was supposed to be babysitting me. I was the *Center of Attention*. This may be why I, today, am so loud and love to tell stories. I would stand on tables and do Saturday Night Life impressions at the age of 5. Although there were those moments--there were also times where they were the best role-models ever: for my some-d...

More Wedding!!

So we left off Thursday night at about 3am when I finally fell asleep from extreme exhaustion. I woke naturally about at 6:30am the following morning, of course. The morning person in me never leaves!! I woke to the most beautiful sound....rain. I donned my spandex long sleeve, shorts, Mizuno running shoes, and of course "Marc Antony"--my GPS. (Yes, I have it named. Prior to Ryan, my GPS was named Dmitri. When I met Ryan and took him on our 1st run, I introduced him to Dmitri and said "I don't have time to date men. So since I have the dream of loving an cute Italian boy--I have named my GPS after one". The next day Ryan set out to buy a new GPS and told me "You can use this from now on. We will come up with a better name..a warrior-like name." And hence, Marc Antony is the name) I was at such peace during that run....feeling about 1000 feels at once. Nerves about all the wedding stress, excitement about all the family I get to see, and true joy that I...

The Wedding...revisited

So I left off with Tuesday's anticipation of the big events for the weekend! Wednesday morning Ryan and I went for a run, had a great workout in the the backyard of my parents house.....and this was probably the last normal moment we had alone and together for the rest of the weekend! I am so glad we did this. We got some quality time together to talk, laugh, and encourage each other....got a little taste of our normal routine before the excitement all came. I made him breakfast, and he was back to the lakes. I packed up my bags to head to Wahpeton with Mom to get my nails done. Wednesday was a great day to get some good bonding time with my Mom. It's funny how when I was a young teenager--I had such attitude towards my parents and would strive so hard to be the complete opposite of them. Now I can proudly say that I strive so hard to become a woman like my Mother. I arrived at the glorious lakes (which is probably my favorite place in the world)...and headed to my bridesmaid ...
